What are Direct Thermal White Labels?

Direct thermal white labels is darkened where heat is applied, hence, do not require ribbons to print with.  Both coated and uncoated materials with acrylic adhesive are commonly used in the production of direct thermal white labels. Direct thermal labels are one of the most economical labels with a wide range of short-term applications.

What are White Paper Labels Used For?

Able Label’s top coated and non-top coated Direct Thermal White Labels work well with medical, laboratory, healthcare, retail, and industrial sectors.  These are a great choice for barcode, shipping, inventory management, pricing, and short-term product labels. They are easy to read and recommended for use with standard speed thermal printers.

What are White Paper Labels made of?

Premium Top coated Direct Thermal Paper

Over 100 of our products are made with Premium Top coated Direct Thermal material.  This medium sensitivity white Direct Thermal Paper material provides optimum environmental resistance with its top coated paper quality and offers an optimal scanning wavelength range under 660nm.  Complete with a permanent acrylic emulsion adhesive with an aggressive initial tack, very good adhesion, good mandrel hold typically applied to test tubes and vial bottles, and considered to be latex glove friendly for use in some healthcare applications. Contact with clear tape will NOT cause premature fading.

Economy Non-top coated Direct Thermal Paper 

A low-cost solution for Direct Thermal Paper Labels with short duration use or applications where the label does not require environmental resistance or exposure to solvents, water, oils, fats or other similar materials. The facestock of this Non-top coated Paper material is a medium sensitivity white paper complete with a non-tacky all temp acrylic adhesive, very good adhesion to a wide variety of packaging materials and is used for general purpose labeling. Contact with clear tape will cause premature fading.

What are the sizes of White Paper Labels?

Able Label stocks the most commonly used sizes for shipping labels, such as 4” x 6” shipping labels, as well as 4” x 6.75” and 4” x 8.25” DocTab Labels that are comparable to FedEx® 156148 and UPS® 0177400801; converted with non-top coated material and top coated material.
